In a groundbreaking knowledge mobilisation workshop held on the 27th of July 2023, students and faculty members of the Masters Programme in Information Science and Technology at the University of Buea were enlightened on the transformative work of the Digi-CARE consortium. The event also sought to inspire students to delve into pioneering inquiries for their end-of-course projects, fostering a new wave of innovation in the field of healthcare technology.
The workshop commenced with an engaging presentation on the mission and vision of the Digi-CARE consortium, emphasizing its commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology and a One-Health approach to combat infectious diseases effectively. Consortium representatives shared real-life case studies showcasing the impact of technology in early detection, rapid response, and proactive prevention of disease outbreaks in Cameroon.

Dr. Nkweteyim Denis, a faculty member of the Information Science and Technology program, expressed her excitement about the workshop’s outcomes. “The Digi-CARE consortium’s work is truly groundbreaking.
